A dynamic network of over 1000 researchers The Institut des Amériques (IdA) is a research consortium (GIS, groupement d’interet scientifique) which federates French research on the American continent, in the fields of the humanities and the social sciences. Its networked structure allows the IdA to associate professors, researchers, professionals of scientific information, non-academic partners from economic, political and media fields. IdA valorizes various scientific approaches from a comparatist, transamerican and transdisciplinary standpoint, thus contributing to the emergence of new problematics and to the affirmation of French excellence in research and higher education. |
