Presentation

In 2021, The Congress will take place on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th of september at the Campus Condorcet, in Aubervilliers, at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, at the Institut national d'histoire de l'art, and will be broadcasted online. Our Congress tends to encourage as much as possible inter-disciplinary approaches, and it will gather more than 200 speakers specialists of North America, Latin America and the Carribean.

Every year since 2002, the Institut des Amériques has organized an international symposium on a lead topic : consulter la liste complète en ligne. In order to embrace topics with more variety and the promote a wider dialogue in inter-american and comparative studies, the IdA has now chosen to organise a biennal Congress, ambitious, sensible to new paradigms in social sciences and to the transformation of knowledge into public policy,  l’IdA a désormais choisi d’organiser un congrès biennal, ambitieux, sensible aux nouveaux paradigmes en sciences sociales ainsi qu’à la transformation des savoirs en politiques publiques, friendly and open to cultural events.

Signing up is free and madatory. The Congress will be held respecting sanitary rules : Accessing the event will be conditionned to the presentation of a health pass, and wearing a face mask will be mandatory.
